ABSTRACT

Progress execrise The ‘Everyday Memory Questionnaire’ (see Table 5.1) from Baddeley (1997) lists 27 common memory lapses. Rate the frequency with which you yourself make each lapse using the scaie 1-9. Then add up the numbers. Then compare your score with a friend’s score, Even if your friend scores about the same as you, your scores will almost certainly be made up in entirely different ways. The point of this exercise is not just to show that humans do forget, but also to show the variety of things that different people forget.
