ABSTRACT

Visible light falls in the range of 4 × 10-7 m (400 nm) to 7 × 10-7 m (700 nm) in the electromagnetic spectrum, which can be seen by the human eye (Figure 4.1). The visible spectrum is also termed the optical spectrum of light. The wavelength of the light determines the specific color and Table 4.1 lists the color corresponding to the specific wavelength in the visible spectrum.
