ABSTRACT

The production mode of immersive communicators is also intelligent: “remote presence” and “ubiquity” exist simultaneously in both the virtual and the physical world. This chapter discusses people in immersive communication—immersive communicators—and describes their production and living characteristics. The information acquisition methods, lifestyles, production methods, and entertainment methods of immersive communicators represent a fundamental change from the past. Compared with the past, immersive communicators fundamentally change access to information, lifestyles, production methods, and entertainment methods. Immersive communicators seek happiness in the real world, on the one hand, but on the other hand, they immerse themselves in the virtual world. The age of immersive communication is also an era of innovation and creativity. Immersive communicators also include the subjects of biological media or virtual people. After digital media, biological media will be the most likely new media form in the future, because it can better satisfy the more humane and personalized needs.
