ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses implementing Lean Six Sigma, in the workplace, using Leaner as the training methodology. The argument that best supports Lean Six Sigma implementation is that Lean Six Sigma is scalable, recognizes the importance of speed and is a quality program that is also cost effective. To successfully implement Lean Six Sigma, it is often necessary to help people understand the concept of waste. However, any individual can always just start working in a Leaner way by applying the tools and the methodology of the Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control. Team Building and transparency are important in applying Lean Six Sigma. One of the things that makes Lean Six Sigma different is that the tools and the methodology can be applied and used immediately by an individual employee.
