ABSTRACT

A detailed plan is a part of getting and maintaining organizational commitment. People need to know where they are going. You will notice that I do not consider a task complete unless there is some form of documentation. I place a high value on documentation for two reasons. One, if you cannot write it down, you do not understand it. The second reason is to speed up the implementation. The policy and procedure documents are your way of teaching the organization how the system works. After the system has been in place, the need for document procedures and policies is diminished. But for now, they are very important.
