25.1 INTRODUCTION

Diversity of cultural plants is possible to be obtained by the induction of genetics or in other words by hereditary changes. For achieving a genetic variety, use of chemical mutagens is necessary. The search of chemicals that are able to cause the hereditary changes began both abroad and in us after the invention of mutagenic action of the X-rays by Müller [1] N.K. Kolzov is a prominent Russian biologist-who is a geneticist who predicted the idea of matrix reproduction of chromosomes. He was the first to propose that mutations could arise up not only from an ionizing radiation but also under the action of chemicals.
