ABSTRACT
In the Define, Measure, and Analyze Phases of the DMAIC model, there is a lot of creativity involved and many different choices and directions may be taken. As long as the major objectives are met, the project manager is working within the DMAIC confines. There are limited rules and mostly suggestions and ideas about how to mistake-proof the project. However, once the project manager enters the Improve Phase, there is a specific step-by-step rule book.
