ABSTRACT

Within the context of the contemporary Malaysian nation, the more than 84,000 Orang Asli make up less than 1 percent of the current national population of about 24.8 million (2007). e Temiar and the Semai, both of the Senoi ethnic division, constitute the two largest Orang Asli linguistic groups.
