ABSTRACT
Description: INFANRIX HepB is a vaccine that combines an already existing trivalent vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis (trade name INFANRIX) with a hepatitis B vaccine produced in yeast by recombinant DNA technology. INFANRIX HepB consists of diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, three pertussis antigens (pertussis toxoid, filamentous hemagglutinin, and pertactin), and recombinant major surface antigen of the hepatitis B virus. INFANRIX HepB is supplied as a suspension of the diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis components, which is used to reconstitute the lyophilized hepatitis B component before administration as an intramuscular injection.
