ABSTRACT

Since the dawn of time, different life forms have competed for the resources they need to sustain and perpetuate their existence. The struggle began when unicellular organisms developed or evolved from complex molecular networks. As one-celled organisms became more complex and more specialized, multicellular organisms arose [1]. This process eventually led to the array of life forms that we see on the planet today. The human organism is a complex multicellular structure with many strengths and potentials; however, with great strength and greater complexity also comes many vulnerabilities.
