ABSTRACT
This chapter explains the choice of the concept terminal, introduces the hypermodern perspective, and discusses the importance of understanding emerging social psychological trends in a society. After reviewing various arguments about the relation between technology and society, it specifies the resources assembled in this book, explains its organization, and discusses the rationale behind it.
