ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that positively impact student satisfaction in higher education and to measure the level of satisfaction by determining students’ attitudes towards certain factors. With the rise in the number of students enrolling in educational institutions, the importance of strategic innovative quality considerations in the delivery of teaching, research programs and services is becoming an important aspect of higher educational institutions nowadays. Customer satisfaction is becoming a major interest for most colleges and higher education institutions so that they can understand how satisfied customers react to offered services or products. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that positively impact student satisfaction in Lebanese higher education institutions and to measure satisfaction levels and opinions concerning certain factors. For this reason, a conceptual model was built and a quantitative study was adopted to explore the factors and how they are correlated. It was found that among institutional factors, out of school activities, demographic factors and expectations, high satisfaction is positively associated with the services offered by institutions. This study contributes to a model of satisfaction on Lebanese students that can be later on added as a reference for further research related to the same topic.
