ABSTRACT
Up to this point, we have broken down pastoral counseling practices into specific lessons and illustrated these points with focused vignettes. In this chapter, the components from previous chapters are integrated in order to illustrate how to handle more complex situations. In addition, suggestions are provided for helping clergy navigate their own feelings of disappointment or failure when their counseling results in unanticipated outcomes.
