Resourcing clients brings together the understanding of embodied brain/mind systems and processes with an understanding of the dimensions as modalities to increase core strength and capacity, and pathways to be developed in their own right. That is, resourcing occurs horizontally and vertically, and in the eight dimensions which can be divided into intrapersonal, interpersonal, and transpersonal modalities. The resource focus also orientates towards either strengthening ego processes and functions (e.g., building confidence, increasing self-awareness and self-regulation), or developing core-self or 'soul' processes (e.g., embodying core values, deepening integrity, processing dreams, spiritual emergence), or both. The re-sourcing from the energetic ground is inherently integrative and meaningful as it locates the unique lives firmly in the context of a bigger participatory coinfluencing whole. To increase self-regulation and self-awareness are core strengths throughout therapy, and assessment, beginnings, reviews and endings are opportunities for joint evaluation of development and maintenance of these inner processes.
