ABSTRACT

Due to our busy schedule and this fast-growing world, people are unable to manage their fitness and health. Indeed, it is additionally difficult to meet a specialist at normal interims. In this context, a smart and efficient decision-making model for healthcare is proposed. Internet of things–based smart city is considered for deploying this proposed model. Users can enter their symptoms of the disease through their registered communication device, and the data are securely transferred to the service provider. An intelligent and efficient expert system makes decisions based on the present circumstance. In this chapter, statistical approach and fuzzy reasoning strategy are applied to accomplish the objective. Fuzzy rule–based expert model accepts symptoms of the disease from patients as an input and makes a decision of possible disease using a collaborative decision-making approach. Precision of the system is measured as 89.94%.
