ABSTRACT
The mobility that characterizes human beings more than any other species on the planet is an expression of the relationship between earth and soul. No one knows to what extent traveling is something man does naturally or whether it is the result of a cultural evolution. In the course of time the journey also developed an epistemology of its own, varying with the peoples and the historical periods.
