ABSTRACT

This chapter provides the fundamental lead-in knowledge and overview of how the resolution of construction disputes has developed over the years. It covers the various forms of law applicable, giving an overview of the various main forms of law worldwide dealing with construction disputes, including common law, civil law, and Sharia Law. It then delves into dispute resolution methods and the development and use of adjudication in the UK as well as the various forms of construction contracts.
