ABSTRACT
Economic conditions in Latin America have changed dramatically in recent years. The gleaming glass skyscrapers, upscale shopping centers, and luxurious subdivisions attest to a fairly remarkable expansion of income and wealth. More people are living with greater affluence now than at any other time in the history of the continent.
