Introduction

Sixteen case studies of local innovative initiatives were carried out in nine European cities,3 of which ten are presented here. The other experiences examined in the SINGOCOM project, although not included here, significantly concurred with the general findings of the research, or showed interesting unique features, and are occasionally mentioned in the transversal analyses presented in the last two chapters of the book.
