Introduction

This edited book seeks to capture and extend the state of the art in respect of Evidence-Based Practice in policing. It aims to capture the origins and present standing of EBP, to contest some of its established assumptions, and to draw out how its goals and ideals can be achieved by moving beyond EBP as conventionally understood.
