ABSTRACT
Within the emerging field of Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE), multiple communities are in the process of establishing the norms and cultures that will become the communities' traditions; traditions that Tomas Kuhn argues play a critical role in how scientific understanding is created. The primary narrative emphasizes the author's research or focus in the field of Mind, Brain, and Education, demonstrating the diversity and richness of research in MBE and providing information about the new knowledge they have generated, as well as the methodological tools and theoretical frameworks that were used. The second narrative highlights the more serendipitous paths that led to the author's work, shedding light on important events that influenced the direction or length of the journey. This introduction also presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book.
