ABSTRACT
Natural processes constantly bring changes to the earth. Floods and tsunamis, earthquakes and volcanoes, hurricanes and tornadoes, meteors and solar flares, and other natural events affect the planet daily. When those events take place and cause substantial loss of life or damage to property, we call them disasters.
