ABSTRACT

It seems that the current consensus among most critical researchers and scholars in Israel is that critical pedagogy is the ultimate answer to the positivist, one-dimensional perspective and teaching of capitalism. However, very little attention has been paid to the political perspective and to political pedagogy in particular, within educational systems. The new Age of Neoliberalization and Globalization makes this discussion both relevant and crucial. The aim of this chapter is to present the educational system in Israel and to suggest a political perspective to analyze it.
