ABSTRACT

The present analysis is based on material retrieved at Kieran Timberlake (KT). Where the primary case is the Cellophane House (CH), the analysis and discussion is subsequently nuanced and put into perspective by introduction of the Loblolly House (LH) as a secondary case. Cellophane House being the primary case will be more thoroughly presented than the Loblolly House that will rather serve as comparison and background for discussion of the specific CH system structural features. The first draft of the system structure model draws, as mentioned in the introduction, on the preliminary results from the primary case study, the Cellophane House. The choice of this case has from the outset been Kieran Timberlake's specific interest in and attempts to work with and clarify the supply chains of construction particularly the parts of it related to offsite fabricated buildings and the balance between off-site and on-site processes.
