e-learning for general practitioners: lessons from the recent literature

Only studies from 1997 were included since we regarded studies prior to this date as not being relevant to the present state of e-learning. Over the last six years there have been rapid developments in e-learning, both in the provision of content and in the use of highly sophisticated information technology.
