16.1 Introduction This chapter summarizes the practices actually applied in the Toshiba Software Factory, in which a series of software product lines for the domain of electric power generation, EPG-SPL, has been developed and adopted since 1962. In September 2008, the EPG-SPL was chosen as a member of the Software Product Line Hall of Fame at Carnegie Mellon University.
