Brother Francis, Headteacher at St Francis Xavier College in Liverpool describes the approach his school has adopted over the past two years to the management of contracts and premises.

The headteacher and governors were fortunate in having some relevant experience as both a direct grant and voluntary-aided school prior to grant-maintained status and have been able to build on this in their management of contracts and premises more recently. The school was incorporated in September 1989.
