Managing your caseload Chances are that you will, or are handling, a rather extensive caseload. I suspect that across the country complaints to medical boards have risen significantly while the number of investigative personnel has remained stagnant as was experienced in the state of Georgia during the period from 2000 to 2012. As a result, the average caseload per investigator continued to rise each year. I believe that it would be fair to say that the bane of an investigator’s existence is his/her burgeoning, oppressive caseload.
