ABSTRACT

In the current era of decentralization, the regional government has a role in resolving various building problems. Although development planning that targets the priority agenda has been included as an agenda in the vision and mission of regional leaders, in its development there is often a gap between the vision and mission with the effectiveness of implementing various programs and activities in planning documents. The purpose of this activity is to prepare planning staff at each Regional Working Unit (SKPD) to develop plans that are included in budgeting in the regional. The plans are to ensure the quality and availability of data for the preparation of important regional development reports and documents, such as the mid-term regional development plan (RPJMD), MDG Regional Action Plans reports on achievement of the MDGs, human development re-ports and others. The workshop was held in Bandung City and followed by participants representing agencies, including Development Planning Board (BAPPEDA), Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Health Office, Education Agency, Agriculture/Livestock Services, Forestry/Forestry Service, Fisheries, Cooperatives, BPM, Public Works, Universities, and NGOs and other related institutions. As a follow-up program, the training pro-grams for SKPD need to be widely implemented not only in the city of Bandung but also in other cities in West Java even in Indonesia.
