ABSTRACT

The dynamic of sustainable regional development, and the degree of competitiveness in the national and international level, is largely due to the susceptibility of certain economic activities, which run business on a given territory toward external macroeconomic and institutional “pushes”, generating the structure and the nature of the expectations from the economic agents. In this regard, it is reasonable to assess the competitive level of the foreign trade activities (in terms of their susceptibility to external displays) in inter-regional context. This type of work will mainly characterize the sustainability of certain economic activities in the region, including similar plants located in the territory of neighboring regions. This, from the early stages of external influence on the national economy, in turn, will help us in understanding the development prospects of industrial potential in the regions. Moreover, the proposed structural and logical analysis of susceptibility of the regional External Economic Activity (EEA) to the external “pushes” contributes to the scenario modeling and forecasting in the medium term, the growth dynamics of the regional economy as a whole, and its individual components through the development of the algorithm step to account for changes in the index of business activity in the region as one of the key indicators characterizing the expectations of economic agents.
