ABSTRACT

The microlens and microlens arrays are widely and commonly used in measurement fields, optical communications fields, coupling with a device for optical communications and an optical fiber, three-dimensional (3D) imaging, improvement in liquid crystal projector panel light efficiency, a Shack–Hartmann sensor, and a confocal microscope. An individual microlens is formed in each sensor pixel element on image sensors such as a charge-coupled device (CCD) and a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (C-MOS) to enhance optical light power efficiency.
