ABSTRACT

I. INTRODUCTION Included herein are a large number of chemicals having no specific identifiable usefulness in any of the defined groups discussed earlier in this work. Three special groups of chemicals are included here. The first are the fire retardants, the second retinoids, and the third, a group of numerous chemicals that have no specified use. The testing that has been done on these chemicals generally has been limited to teratogenic assessment, principally as a means of assessing hazard to women in the occupational workplace, and none have yet been recognized as having any known detrimental effect on the pregnant woman or on her conceptus.
