ABSTRACT
Social processes unfold and are embedded in both geographic space and networks of relations. Highlighting these two kinds of embeddedness, we use spatialized network data to compare the geography of rivalry relations that connect territorially based criminal street gangs in a section of Los Angeles with a geography of the location of gang-related violence.
