ABSTRACT
Function transformations have been used for over a century to facilitate the study of various problems in applied mathematics, physics and engineering. Some function transformations were introduced to solve specific problems, but they were later found to be useful in solving problems other than those they were designed for. A few were introduced for no obvious practical reason other than to satisfy mathematical curiosity.
