ABSTRACT

Among the various generalizations of the Laplace transform, the two-sided (bilateral) Laplace transform seems to be the most natural. It has been pointed out in Section 5.12.1 that in the so-called right-sided Laplace transform the lower limit of the Laplace integral, zero, may be replaced by an arbitrary finite number. In the two-sided Laplace integral, this arbitrary number is replaced by https://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> - ∞ https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780138752859/46b98bf4-f43d-4c1b-bad9-d831e2ef6414/content/eq2947.tif" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/> .
