ABSTRACT

When military arms and military or industrial explosives are obtained, they will be used. Many explosives contain PETN (nitropenta, pentaerythrittetranitrat) which is also used in cardiology. PETN is the main component of the rapid detonative explosives (RDX) substance employed by the armed forces (Composition A; Composition B; Composition C, C3, and C4; HBX; H-6; Cyclotol and Semtex). Semtex (a combination of Semtin-a town in former Czechoslovakia where it was produced-and explosive) is the most famous of the RDX. It is a plastic material, easily shaped and readily available on the international market.
