Form Tolerances in Tolerance Stackups

Form tolerances are not included in most linear Tolerance Stackups. In most cases, the

form of features in the chain of Dimensions and Tolerances has little or no effect on the

result of the Tolerance Stackup, as the form tolerance is almost always smaller than the

location tolerance. The Tolerance Stackup problem is idealized, and these tolerances are

not included in the chain of Dimensions and Tolerances. Usually there is little risk in

omitting form tolerances from the Tolerance Stackup.
