ABSTRACT
The aluminum industry employs pneumatic conveying widely for its materials handling processes. As with many industries, there is economy in scale, and so individual plants tend to be very large. It is still very much an expanding industry, and an industry that most large countries in the world like to have as part of their industrial infrastructure, particularly if cheap power is available from hydroelectric sources or from surplus gas reserves.
