ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on specificities of architectural design and building construction stage as collaborative activities. It suggests that two different potentialities of building site imagery. The first consists in a use to assist coordination between actors during construction stage, while the other one describes specificities of a knowledge management tool. Architectural design activity consists of a mechanism of proposition-validation of solutions between actors, in order to find a satisfying solution to the building project. An image base built and used in the building construction stage must be completed by semantic information. The architectural design is the object of many works aiming at appreciating its specificities as design activity. The client role is resumed in a building work progress validation task. The design team often engaged a coordinator, responsible for task realisation progress. Generally, the photo taken of the building construction site at a precise moment is a building construction progress statement.
