The senses – hearing

The ear (Figure 5.1) is a very refined sound amplifier that is quite sensitive and its capabilities and limitations should be considered in the training of pilots. The airwaves conduct to our ears much information and some noise. One frequently identifies “noise” and unwanted sounds. Thus, what may be music to one’s ears may be noise to another.
