Aviation truism: All emergencies are easier to handle when you are on the ground.
Many instructors teach their students about the Four Cs for emergency situations. The idea is that if the students think about these often enough they will feel comfortable in doing them when an emergency or abnormal situation develops. The Four Cs are:
Confess Admit you have a problem. Denial only makes the situation worse.
