ABSTRACT
Description: Genotropin is a highly purified preparation of human growth hormone (hGH) produced by recombinant DNA technology. The 191-amino acid single-chain 22.1-kDa polypeptide is identical to native hGH. It is presented as a lyophilized powder in a two-chamber cartridge for use with the Genotropin pen or the Genotropin mixer reconstitution device. One chamber contains the lyophilized powder (available in 1.5, 5.8, or 13.8 mg). The second chamber contains the water for injection-based solvent for product reconstitution. A series of miniquick, single-use, two-chamber cartridges are also available, with the front chamber containing active ingredient levels ranging from 0.2 to 2.0 mg.
