ABSTRACT
Description: Ambirix is a combined vaccine identical to the vaccine marketed under the trade name Twinrix Adult (as described in a separate monograph and administered to persons 16 years and older). It is a combination of the two separately marketed vaccines Havrix Adult, containing inactivated hepatitis A virus, and Engerix-B, containing the recombinant purified hepatitis B surface antigen. Ambirix is presented as a suspension for intramuscular administration in 1-ml prefilled syringes.
