ABSTRACT

Description: NeoRecormon is a recombinant human epoetin beta (erythropoietin) that stimulates the production of red blood cells. NeoRecormon is identical to the natural molecule, as derived from the urine of anemic patients. NeoRecormon is produced in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells, and it is presented either in a lyophilized form or as a solution for intravenous or subcutaneous administration. NeoRecormon replaced Recormon, which contained the same active substance. NeoRecormon is offered in different formulations, including a prefilled, readyto-use syringe and devices for multidose injections.
