ABSTRACT

Description: The active ingredient in OncoScint is a murine monoclonal antibody conjugated to a linker chelator molecule (glycyl-tryosyl-N-diethylenetri-aminepentacetic acid; GYK-DTPA). The antibody is of the IgG1κ subclass and has been raised against a high molecular weight tumor associated glycoprotein (TAG-72), which is often associated with ovarian or colorectal cancer. The chelator is covalently attached to the antibody such that it can bind radioactive Indium (111In) prior to its administration for in υiυo radiological-based diagnostic imaging (immunoscintigraphy). The product is supplied as a 2-vial kit containing all the nonradioactive ingredients required to generate a single-unit dose of OncoScint. Vial 1 contains 1 mg conjugated antibody in a final volume of 2 ml phosphate buffered saline, pH 6.0. Vial 2 contains 2 ml of sodium acetate buffer, pH 6.0. The kit also contains a 0.22-µm filter.
