ABSTRACT

Description: ProstaScint consists of a murine IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody conjugated to a tripeptide linker-chelator in order to be coupled to the radioisotope Indium 111 (In 111) before use. The monoclonal antibody is produced in a hybridoma cell line and is directed against the prostate specific membrane antigen, a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of prostate epithelial cells, including malignant cells. ProstaScint is provided as a solution as part of a kit for the reconstitution of the radiolabeled molecule; ProstaScint is coupled to In 111, which is not provided with the kit, before intravenous administration for diagnostic imaging.
