ABSTRACT
Most of the superficial infections are monomicrobial and can be treated effectively with oral antibiotics.
The choice depends upon the individual’s experience or culture and sensitivity report. Duration of the therapy is usually two weeks however, in deep infections, which are of ten polymicrobial, intravenous antibiotics for the first five days are preferred, followed by oral antibiotics for two weeks.
