ABSTRACT
Limb threatening infection is a deep seated infection of the various plantar compartments, deep infections of the heel, and dorsum of the foot. There is often a suppurative process with involvement of deeper tissues like muscles, tendons and bones with areas of necrosis. There is evidence of systemic toxicity.
