ABSTRACT
There are many reasons that an Information Security Architecture has become critical to the operation of those organizations dependent upon their computing environment to succeed. The increasing growth and use of the Internet to conduct business has brought about great changes in the computing environment for businesses, organizations, and individuals. The Internet, e-mail, and networks have increased communications and commerce channels between companies and their employees, clients, vendors, business partners, and even their competitors. While much more can be accomplished by empowering users through the use of advanced technologies, the risks to all have been greatly increased as well by these new technologically enriched environments.
