ABSTRACT

The table entry corresponding to z denotes P (0 ≤ Z ≤ z) for a standard normal random variable Z (i.e., the shaded region = area under the N(0, 1) curve between 0 and z).

The table entries (i.e., tν,α values) are the right tail α probability cut-off points for the tν-distribution, where ν = df (i.e., area under the tν-pdf on the right of tν,α is α).
